Personal Chef
Chef Jill Aker Ray couldn’t decide whether she loved cooking, travel or wine more so she became a Vacation Chef.
The little girl who grew up cooking with her family in Michigan has studied culinary techniques around the world from Tuscany to Barcelona and New Orleans to Charleston.
The owner of ‘What’s For Dinner?’ Personal Chef Services has shared her recipes and entertaining ideas with television viewers from North Carolina to Texas. The veteran TV chef has also served as spokesperson/chef for Food Lion and The Fresh Market in cooking segments and in-store demonstrations.
Chef Jill shared her tips for building a media presence as a featured presenter at the United States Personal Chef Association’s National Conference in San Antonio in 2015.
For Chef Jill, any day that ends with good food, a good glass of chardonnay and a few good stories (like the time she helped cook a 150-fan dinner for the Zac Brown Band tour) is a good day.
She lives in Charlotte with her husband, a retired pilot, and their Great Dane, Luna with whom she occasionally shares a giant bowl of buttered popcorn.
